In 2019, the actual demand for 8-inch and 12 inch wafers in domestic wafer factories is about 1.73 million and 3.41 million pieces per month. But compared with the demand side data, the market gap of silicon chip supply side is very large.
At present, the monthly capacity gap of 8-inch and 12 inch silicon wafers is 740000 and 3.1 million, respectively. This means that 8 inch wafers currently have a gap of nearly 1 million, while 12 inch wafers have almost zero capacity.
